CEE Graduate Student Jinhee Park wins first prize in the Geosyntec 2023 GWAG Student Competition

Geosyntec Consultants recently announced the winners of the 2023 Annual Student Paper Competition. This contest is intended to recognize and reward graduate students performing cutting edge research related to the assessment and treatment of chemical contaminants in soil and groundwater. 
Among the six winners, CEE graduate student Jinhee Park wins first prize (1 winner) with her research paper “Optimizing Groundwater Bioremediation: PAA Coated Iron Phases for PFOA Treatment.” As the author of the top paper, Jinhee receives an all-expense paid trip to the REMTEC and Emerging Contaminants Summit, which will be held October 3-5, 2023 in Westminster, Colorado. JInhee will be invited to attend Geosyntec events during the conference and will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of senior Geosyntec professionals throughout the event. In lieu of attending the 2023 REMTEC Conference, Jinhee may select to receive a $1,000 cash prize.
