We are pleased to announce that Princeton alumnus, Eric M. Hines '95, has been named a Principal at the structural engineering firm, LeMessurier Consultants, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Eric joined LeMessurier in 2002 and was promoted to Associate in 2005.  He holds a BSE in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Princeton University (1995),  a MSE in Applied Mechanics and a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego (1998, 2002).

Important projects at LeMessurier include a collection of structural glass lobbies in Boston, the Silver Tie Tower in Beijing, and the world's largest wind turbine blade testing facility in Charlestown, MA.  In 2006, the American Concrete Institute honored Eric for his research on the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge East Bay Spans by awarding him the Wason Medal for best paper and the Chester Paul Siess Award for excellence in structural research.

Eric was named Professor of Practice at Tufts Univerisity in 2006 where he teaches structural systems design.  He has provided high quality experiences to his students in collaboration with his research group at LeMessurier.   He is a leader among a new generation of collaborators between academia and the professional world, working to bridge the divide between theory and practice.
