The department welcomes Reed Maxwell to the Princeton's CEE faculty as of September 1, 2020 as professor.  Reed Maxwell will be a fantastic addition to the CEE faculty. He is at the forefront of a new area of groundwater hydrology that applies high-performance computing and data science to understand feedbacks between water on land and in the atmosphere. He is widely recognized as a leader in hyper-resolution modeling which uses physical models and satellite remote-sensing to bridge the meter scale to the continental scale. In CEE, he will teach courses in hydrology, water resources and climate. This appointment ensures Princeton’s sustained leadership in hydrology, which was established more than a half-century ago.
