The Office of Sustainabilty at Princeton University released some Green Tour Videos by the Student Environmental Communication Network (SECN). One of the videos was on the Streiker Bridge with Professor Branko Glisic talking about monitoring the structural health of the new bridge.

Kyle Meng, Class of ’05, along with colleagues from Columbia University, has published a cover article for Nature magazine titled “Civil conflicts are associated with the global climate”. After more than two years of work, his research examines the role of year-to-year climate change on civil conflicts.

An article on "virtual water" in NewScientist Magazine talks about Professor Rodriguez-Iturbe's research. The piece titled "African land grab could lead to future water conflicts" shows how China, India and Saudi Arabia are trying to secure their food supply by leasing water-rich African land. Doing so is cheaper and easier than using water resources back home. But it's a plan that can backfire.
